South Africa’s Garden Route
27 January – 11 February 2012

Conservation project

The second South African Bird Atlas Project (SABAP II) is one of the most intensive monitoring programmes ever undertaken in South Africa. Eastern Cape Province has huge areas that are difficult to access but critically need atlas work and ongoing monitoring work for BirdLife South Africa to understand the bird conservation challenges in these remote sites.

This follows this holiday in South Africa's Garden Route, which raised £542 (approx R7200 rands) for SABAP2, and this support continues through our Kruger holiday in 2010.
