Danube Delta 2 – 9 June 2012

Leaders

The team from our friends at Ibis to lead this holiday was undecided when going to print. It’s usually either Eugen Petrescu or Daniel Petrescu.

Eugen Petrescu is the Romanian Ornithological Society’s conservation officer in the Danube Delta. Daniel shares the passion for birds of his father Eugen and is part of the team running Ibis Tours, which they founded in 1995. Mihai Petrescu (no relation) is Ibis’s botanist and usually joins the group in Dobrogea. He is a doctor in forest ecology, working as a researcher for the Danube Delta Museum in Tulcea. They all speak excellent English.

Andrew Gregory used to lead birdwatching holidays for Gullivers Natural History Holidays and his passion for Poland led to our new holiday there in 2010 . From Ipswich, he is one of the team that runs the Suffolk Ornithologists' Group.
